The Department of the Navy has approximately 155 Ship Stores on commissioned ships, carrying basic necessities, as well as a limited selection of semi-luxury items such as electronics and watches. The Ship Store program’s mission is to provide quality goods at discounted prices, quality services for daily living, and funding for recreational needs in order to promote morale for those onboard. Ship Stores and Navy Exchanges are separate programs under the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM), which are part of the Naval Supply Systems Command.
