UPS OnLine® Tools
Celerant Technology is proud to be the FIRST retail system provider that offers integrated tools with UPS. UPS OnLine® Tools are built directly into your POS software and securely connect "OnLine" to UPS, using the shipping information provided directly from your client database.
By integrating the UPS Shipping tool, one of the suite of UPS OnLine ® Tools, retailers are now able to reduce costs and increase turn-around time by entering shipping information only once. This allows retailers to pack and print their shipping labels in just one step.
The benefits of UPS Online ® Tools to your organization will be enormous. Shipping information is accessed via one data repository that handles all retail channels and supply-chains, including shipping. Any corrections are immediately recognized throughout your entire enterprise; ensuring consistent, correct data that is always up-to-date and in real-time.
UPS OnLine ® Tools will reduce not only costly returns for you, but
also headaches for your customers. Errors are corrected at the point-of-entry,
long before orders leave the shipping docks with the UPS address validation
tool, which is also integrated into Celerant Command Retail management
system.
Instant Credit Card Processing: Quick Charge
Traditionally, credit card processing has been performed with either credit card machines or software products, such as IC Verify. In both cases, charges are authorized via modem communication over voice lines and transaction time can be extremely slow, resulting in longer cashier lines. Large retail organizations, on the other hand, usually have direct connections to clearing houses, allowing charging to occur almost immediately. However, this solution is generally cost prohibitive for both mid-sized and smaller companies.
What is QuickCharge?
With Celerant's QuickCharge, credit card charges
are routed from the Celerant Command Retail system of each client
to the "QuickCharge" system (via the Internet), using a secure,
encrypted transmission. This method of charging gives the retail
organization near-instant charging capabilities (usually 2-4 seconds)
and central credit card control at a nominal cost.
QuickCharge transaction information can be found online at anytime
by retailers so that they can view all stores transactions whenever
they desire.
In addition to Celerant's own QuickCharge service, Command also
integrates with PC Charge (www.pccharge.com).
Both solutions function within Celerant through traditional means
of connecting to the payment processor and obtaining authorizations.
