Last year, Celerant was named a “Top Commerce Platform” by Multichannel Merchant , whose goal is to help the commerce community connect and learn about the latest trends and best practices related to E-Commerce. In addition to our extensive POS features, Multichannel Merchant recognized our full-service digital marketing solutions which include SEO, integrated email automation, targeted digital coupons, shopping cart abandonment tools, and upselling features.

In 2018, CPA Advisor gave Celerant “five stars” for its point of sale, which is their highest rating. They also recognized Celerant for a high-level of customization, E-Commerce integration, and ability to manage multiple locations and warehouses.

A History of Enthusiastic Evolution

In 1999, Celerant Technology was born as a real-time, POS and retail management solution. Just two years later in 2001, a completely integrated E-Commerce platform was introduced along with an allocation-based distribution system.

Two years later in 2003, Celerant became the first retail system to integrate UPS shipping tools, and debuted the first 100% Java retail management system.

By the end of the first decade in business, Celerant added wireless support to help retailers track their physical inventory, transfers and purchase orders. They also released Open-to-Buy, a feature that allows retailers to plan merchandise sales and purchases, and launched an M-Commerce platform for mobile devices and smart phones.

The next decade would be even more eventful with the introduction of a host of powerful new features that pushed the world of POS forward.

In 2011, Celerant developed data warehousing with MicroStrategy for advanced reporting and analysis. In 2012, the company acquired CAM Commerce Solutions, a company with an unparalleled reputation and thousands of satisfied retail clients. In 2013, Celerant continued evolving with expanded FedEx shipping services and its first mobile POS. A year later, it unveiled Stratus Retail, a browser-based POS solution.

2015 was a fantastic year with support for multiple EMV integrations for payment processing; recurring billing for membership management; and vendor catalog integrations with fully-automated purchase orders.

In 2016, Celerant showed once again that it was willing to embrace mobile by launching E-Commerce sites with a responsive design. That same year, it expanded online marketplace integrations, and began to offer digital marketing to include SEO and integrated email automation, which would later be recognized by an important influencer in the commerce platform space.

With no slowdown in sight, in 2017 Celerant began to fully support integration with MacOS, expanded Bluetooth mobile support with iOS/Android tablets, and released Report Designer for custom report creation. And just this past year, Celerant launched integration with SPS Commerce for EDI (electronic data interchange), developed integrated drop shipping solutions, and released a metric reporting dashboard that helps retailers make intelligent business decisions.
