Press Release
Celerant Technology, the #1 provider of innovative retail software for the firearms industry, today announced that the company contributed approximately half of data in support of SCOPE CLX, a data-sharing program for FFL dealers. As a preferred point of sale vendor for NASGW, firearm retailers can participate in SCOPE CLX through Celerant’s point of sale solution- enabling them to share retail data, and obtain valuable analytics in return.
Celerant is a preferred point of sale provider for SCOPE CLX, an industry-fueled program that supports businesses in the shooting sports industry. Managed by the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW), SCOPE CLX collects and aggregates point of sale data from Federal Firearms Licensed (FFL) retailers across the country. The aggregated data, which is completely anonymous, provides information about product performance, consumer demand and market trends in the FFL market. Through Celerant’s point of sale, dealers can share transaction data with SCOPE CLX, and access monthly reports provided by SCOPE CLX.
To launch SCOPE CLX, NASGW partnered with Celerant for its large market share of FFL retailers. Through the partnership, NASGW is able to collect and analyze retail sales data from already almost 100 stores in the shooting stores industry, with Celerant making up approximately half of the analytics within SCOPE CLX. As a result, NASGW can provide its participating dealers with a clearer picture of sales trends at the retail level, and continue growing its SCOPE CLX project.
Celerant’s FFL retail software enables dealers to manage their entire business- in store, online, range- all within a single solution; and comply with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Dealers can choose between Cumulus Retail™, a cost-effective, SaaS solution for smaller dealers; and Stratus Enterprise™, a comprehensive solution with advanced functionality. Both solutions integrate with SCOPE CLX.
The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers was organized in 1953 and incorporated in 1954. The Association was originally identified as the Sporting Goods Jobbers Association. In 1962 the name was officially changed, and manufacturers and reps were invited to join as Associate members. The NASGW is the organizer and sponsor of the industry’s former Hunting Show, now known as the NASGW Annual Meeting/Expo Event. This annual event provides an unmatched educational, marketing and communications opportunity for the hunting and shooting sports wholesaler, manufacturer and sales professional.
