Top Takeaways From SHOT Show 2019

We just wrapped up another successful SHOT Show, showcasing our FFL retail software solutions for the firearms industry

This was our 15th time exhibiting at the SHOT Show and what a year it was! Each year, the SHOT Show seems to get bigger and better, and this year was no exception. At Celerant, we are all about providing options to the dealers and as such, each year, we develop new partnerships and integrations to provide value to the industry. The SHOT Show is a great time for us to connect with our clients, new potential clients and, of course, all of our valuable industry partners.

Unveiled our Ready-Made eCommerce Websites at SHOT University

As a preferred software provider of the NSSF, we kicked off the 2019 SHOT Show participating, presenting and exhibiting at the SHOT University, which is a smaller, more intimate, educational event for dealers put on by the NSSF, the day before the SHOT Show opens its doors to attendees. At SHOT University, we unveiled our new ‘Ready-Made Cumulus eCommerce Websites’, enabling dealers to create websites quickly and easily. With new, pre-built website department structures and distributor integrations pulling in products, descriptions and images, dealers can launch their websites with ease, and have the ability to customize their distributors’ data and their website layout on-the-fly.

New A&D, e4473 & ATF Compliance Partnerships

We were excited to kick-off the start of our busy show season with our two newest partners, FastBound, a leading provider of ATF Compliance software for dealers, and FFLGuard, the leading legal services and compliance solutions in the country. Together, we demoed our software solutions and services at the SHOT University, as well as the SHOT Show throughout the week. Celerant’s complete retail software includes an internal A&D Book, and now also offers a seamless integration to FastBound’s A&D Book, which also offers e4473 at no additional charge, all of which is backed by the FFLGuard for ATF compliance. This new integration is now available to Celerant clients using either our Cumulus Retail system, which is a cost effective FFL software solution designed for the smaller dealers, or our Stratus Enterprise system, which is a more comprehensive system for the larger dealers.

Distributor Partnerships

At Celerant, we understand that dealers order their products from multiple distributors, and so we partner and integrate with as many as possible to be able to offer integrations enabling dealers to sell more with less effort. At the SHOT Show, we met with all of our distributor partners including Sports South, RSR Group, Zanders, United Sporting Company (USC), Davidson’s, Lipsey’s, Kinsey’s and more. Through our newest integrations with Davidson’s we can now offer catalog imports, automated ordering and real-time inventory access into Davidson’s available products. With both Lipsy’s and Kinsey’s, we can now offer catalog imports, automated ordering, real-time online vendor feeds and drop shipping, for in-store and online orders. It is always great being able to spend time with our partners at the SHOT Show and we are looking forward to seeing everyone again soon at our upcoming Client Conference!

New Online Marketplace Integration: Coming Soon

The SHOT Show provided an opportunity to meet and plan for our upcoming integration with a new online marketplace, Guns.com. This new marketplace launched several months ago and soon we will be launching our integration so that Celerant dealers can easily post their products to the site and pull in marketplace orders with ease and without manual data entry.

New Mobile Point of Sale for Gun Shops & Gun Shows

We also unveiled our new mobile point of sale equipment at this year’s SHOT Show and demoed both Cumulus Retail and Stratus Enterprise on our new MePOS Pro and MePOS Mobile units provided by our new hardware partner, Unique Secure. These new mobile point of sale devices use Windows tablets by Lenovo, along with mobile EMV payment processing devices, so that dealers can process sales and service customers from anywhere; within their store, range and even at off-site events such as gun shows. Our long-time client, Jay’s Sporting Goods, will be going live with these 2 new mobile MePOS Pro’s in their two stores next month and are eager to bring their stores into the modern retail world.Jays Sporting Goods at SHOT SHow 2019
We thank our partner, the NSSF, for hosting another successful SHOT Show! We are thankful to have the opportunity to meet with so many dealers – those already on our software platforms and those not – to educate merchants, and help them run their firearm businesses more effectively; and to nurture both our long-term and new partnerships, which are so invaluable.
