Staten Island, NY (November 16, 2021) – Celerant provides point-of-sale and eCommerce software to many retailers in the industry, and now the company has pre-loaded into its latest software a checkout option allowing customers to either round up to the nearest dollar or to choose a specific denomination to donate in support of Project ChildSafe. Retailers simply have to turn on the donation software option, in their point of sale and/or eCommerce, to begin their support of the country’s leading firearm safety education program.
The benefit of our partnership is that we can work even closer with an industry we respect and support, and it provides those who care about gun safety an opportunity to give back and support safety education efforts at the community level, while making it simple for the retailers to facilitate.”
DIRECTOR OF MARKETING, Celerant
Developed by NSSF, Project ChildSafe is dedicated to promoting responsible firearm handling and secure storage by distributing safety education messages and free firearm safety kits in all 50 states and the U.S. territories.
This partnership will allow the industry to support our ongoing safety efforts by offering their customers an easy-to-use, point-of-sale donation option at no cost to the business. Firearm safety is a bedrock of our industry and the gun-owning community, and we are grateful to Celerant and all our donors for their commitment to reducing firearm accidents, thefts and misuse.”

About Project ChildSafe
NSSF, the trade association of the firearms industry, launched Project ChildSafe in 1999 (originally as Project HomeSafe). Since 1999, the program has provided more than 40 million free firearm safety kits and gun locks to firearm owners in all 50 states through partnerships with thousands of law enforcement agencies across the country. That’s in addition to the more than 70 million free locking devices manufacturers have included, and continue to include, with new firearms sold since 1998. While helping to prevent accidents among children is a focus, Project ChildSafe is intended to help adults practice greater firearm safety in the home. More information is available at projectchildsafe.org.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation is the trade association for the firearms industry. Its mission is to promote, protect and preserve hunting and the shooting sports. Formed in 1961, NSSF has a membership of thousands of manufacturers, distributors, firearms retailers, shooting ranges, sportsmen’s organizations and publishers nationwide.
