Celerant was selected in 2023 as our POS platform after an extensive review of multiple platforms in the industry. Celerant met our needs in a POS provider and the onboarding Team lead by Tandy was a pleasure to work with. They took the time to learn what we needed as a company through-out all departments and help setup the platform to allow us to have a successful transition away from our current POS provider. Our entire organization from employees at the store level up to Senior management are pleased with Celerant.

I’m new to this Point Of Sale service and I love it. The customer service is amazing, especially Kimberley Mano, Implementation Manager. I used to have Quickbooks Point Of Sale and Celerant blows it out of the water. Celerant is everything and more that any retail business will need.
Recently changed over to the Stratus Enterprise platform (by Celerant). Excellent pricing and the implementation process is straight forward. Able to meet my needs. Our implementation manger Tandy is extremely helpful and is always available to answer my call. Well satisfied with the product.

I’ve had an outstanding experience with Celerant. The customer service is exceptional, always guiding me step-by-step on how to operate the software efficiently. The features and reports are a great tool for running a successful store and range. The pricing for the quality of service and features provided is unbeatable. Highly recommended!
Pros: 7 locations. 20 Employees. Celerant is an excellent, easy to use, cost effective platform.
Cons: There is really nothing that would be a deal breaker, maybe long wait times when trying to install new stations.
Overall: Due to Quickbooks shutting down, we moved to Celerant because their platform is very robust and cost-efficient. We have been using it for about seven months now and it’s been great, especially because our Implementation Manager Dave Libby is available for any questions at any time, he made the whole process painless and easy. I would recommend Celerant.

In October of 2023, I made the decision to move from our 25 year old POS /Retail Accounting software to a web based format. Because I had previous history with CAM Commerce’s Retail Star product , I was drawn to their expertise in retail software and their ability to migrate my data sucessfully to the Celerant technology. My experience in working with the staff at Celerant has been nothing but the best; from my Sales Exec. Chris Tabone, to my data specialists Jason Kliewer and Hans Schuler, and Implementation/Training Mgr. Dee Schilling. Each stop along the way I was treated with the same degree of training and detail as that of a multi-store retail operation. We met our desired go live date and my implementation manager Dee, has been accesible to fine tune the menus to our specific needs. The screens are very intuitive and easy to navigate. I anticipated a lengthly and stressful transition, but working with Celerant (a proven leader in the field), eliminated much of that stress and I am extremely happy with the finished product.
Overall, when the system runs smoothly, it is easy. Easy to navigate and helps us keep track of our inventory more efficiently and creates a faster checkout process for our customers.
PROS
How easy it was to learn to navigate the back office and POS.
CONS
It freezes up and kicks users out at random, causing the user to have to clear the cache, and log back in. All work is lost when that happens. Which can be time consuming if it happens repeatedly.
I may leave a second review just so I can leave 10 stars. Dee was absolutely phenomenal. Knowledgeable, professional, punctual. Everything you could possibly want in an onboarding specialist Dee provided. I think she went way above what was expected and exceed every expectation I had.

Cumulus and Stratus are the best overall cloud-based POS/Inventory Management offerings out there. I promise you, we’ve used and tested MANY different POS and Inventory Management programs over our 30+ years in business, and Celerant has the best. Perfect, of course not – but unlike the others, Celerant as a company is amazingly responsive, especially when compared to other providers in the retail space. They feel your sense of urgency. You can always get in touch with an actual person. Finally, general upgrades, fixes, improvements, and new integrations are a regular thing. Celerant’s developers are engaged and diligent about incorporating customer feedback. You can trust your small/mid-sized business to these guys with confidence.
After reading some of the one-star reviews, I get it – changing POS systems sucks. The first few weeks and months are hell, and during the initial install year – everything is the “first time we’ve done this on the new system.” It often requires a rethinking of your processes to match the system you’re using. Remember, your existing processes were developed based on the tips, tricks, and workarounds you had from your previous system. We struggled in the beginning in part because we were trying to bend the system to our existing procedures and vice-versa. Over time as we spent time and effort to understand what the developers were thinking, we got to a much better, even great place. Now, three years in – our clerks love it, and our back office processes better match the capabilities of the system.

Dave was incredibly patient with our questions, and very thorough in his training. If he didn’t have the answer, he would go and find it. Though there were glitches along the way, overall the task that was ahead of us was handled wonderfully be Celerant and the team that we worked with.
PROS
For us, we really appreciate the ability to be live in multiple locations all at once — being able to see the sales and inventory movement all instantly is huge. We also like the fact that it can essentially be accessed from anywhere, on the appropriate machines, as long as you have an internet connection.
CONS
I think the thing we struggled with the most was having to build out reports that would fit our needs, but this is probably more on us as a company than the software itself.
