NRS is the Disneyland of country western. You have farm equipment, ranch equipment, boots, hats. Everything country western that you can think of, we have at NRS. My name is Bettina Spurlock. I am the Senior Systems Developer for NRS, National Ropers Supply. I maintain the Celerant POS, the Celerant back office, and our Shopify website, including the backend pieces.
The eCommerce part is pretty much the biggest piece of our company right now. People often come to the stores, get our catalog, and then they’re able to shop online. We have well over 100,000 SKUs in our Celerant system, and we’re constantly adding new products.
Celerant, I believe, is a total package. We can maintain our inventory, our fulfillment, and our point of sale. If we have people out on the sales floor, they can look in Celerant and say, “Okay, we have this many units in stock.”Celerant has also helped us tremendously with fulfillment, getting products shipped out on time, and organizing all of our products. It helps not only our customers, but our accounting and buying departments too, because the buyers know how many units we’re selling. A lot of reporting systems don’t tell you that. Celerant does.
It gives us year-to-date information. Our executive team uses Celerant to do a lot of forecasting. Celerant really helps us determine what’s selling, what’s not, what our turnaround time is, what our markups are going to be, whether we need to do markdowns, and how much inventory we need to keep in stock at any time in any of our stores.
One of the biggest business challenges Celerant is solving right now is product importing. If we had to use another system, we would probably have to use two separate systems. When you’re talking about human and manual entry between two systems, there’s a lot of room for error, and Celerant really eliminates that. You can go as big as you want with Celerant, or as small as you want, and they’re always willing to accommodate you.
I would also recommend them because of their support. Whether it’s the sales department, tech support department, or implementation department, they’re going to be with you every step of the way.
